In February 2009, the urban domestic waste incineration project with a capability of 200 t waste processing daily was completed in Jinan, Shandong province. This project is operating smoothly with a daily generated power of 70,000 kw, 20% of which is for the plant use while the rest transferred to the grid. The thermal reduction rate of solid waste is lower than 3% after this incineration technology with all the indicators of its gas emission in line with the national standards. This project has become a demonstration in the promotion and application of solid waste thermal pyrolysis incineration.
